[Video Transcript] Management Development Program - Online at Wharton

Hello, I'm Lori Rosenkopf, the Simon and Midge Palley professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. While I was originally trained and practiced as an engineer, I later earned my Ph.D. in management of organizations from Columbia University, and my research focuses on how managers shape and respond to technological change.

I joined the management department of the Wharton School in 1993. Since then, I've published in top management journals, I've taught students at all levels, and I've undertaken a host of administrative activities. The most significant of these activities, from 2013 to 2019 was serving as the vice dean for the Wharton Undergraduate Program. In this role, I was responsible for managing a staff of 21 people, so I have practical as well as academic experience in management. During my career, I've had the good fortune to collaborate with so many stellar faculty colleagues here at the Wharton School on teaching, research, and administration. Together we've curated critical course content that will develop your managerial mindset. You'll acquire and enhance essential business skills across key disciplines like managing people, accounting, finance, marketing, and operations and strategy. These technical skills will be supported with attention to interpersonal interaction and personal success. Along with my colleagues, I look forward to sharing this program with you.
