Cambridge Judge Business School Executive Education launches the Chief People Officer Programme in partnership with Emeritus

CAMBRIDGE, UK: Cambridge Judge Business School (CJBS) Executive Education is pleased to announce the launch of its Chief People Officer (CPO) Programme for senior professionals who are seeking to reinvent HR as a value-driver in their organisations. Launched in partnership with Emeritus, the global leader in making high-quality upskilling education accessible and affordable, this eight- to ten-month programme will help participants prepare for the C-suite through immersive online learning and collaborative projects.

With an increasing emphasis on employee empowerment, the HR leader’s role has taken greater importance in the C-suite. Organisations are looking for progressive leaders who can rethink traditional HR models and use human capital to drive business results, but finding the right person with the requisite skill set can be challenging. The Cambridge CPO Programme aims to bridge this gap.

The programme delves into the changing ways in which people engage with their work and how organisations relate to their workforce today. It enables participants to understand what is required of their role as a C-suite stakeholder. Participants will evaluate perspectives on leading people operations in the modern and remote workplace while considering employee needs, motivations and dynamics. Furthermore, they will understand how to drive organisational culture, champion corporate responsibility and manage innovation responsibly and impactfully. Real-life case studies, guest lectures and peer interaction bring insightful perspectives to the programme.

The programme has been designed with insights from CJBS’s Centre for International Human Resources Management, which brings together leading academics and practitioners from the field of human resource management and international organisations. Jochem Kroezen, Assistant Professor in International Business and the programme’s faculty director, is renowned for his research into processes of institutional change. ‘Today’s HR leaders are facing extraordinary challenges accelerated by disruption and technology revolution. The impactful curriculum from CJBS Executive Education will prepare you to embrace the changing nature of work and organisations, ensuring your company continues to harness a fully empowered workforce to achieve its goals,’ said Kroezen.

The comprehensive curriculum consists of four core modules spanning 18 weeks, two online electives and a two-and-a-half-day face-to-face event in Cambridge, UK. The core modules provide a foundation in the key parameters of contemporary HR leadership while the electives take a deep dive into select aspects of people analytics and digital transformation. Experiential learning enables participants to apply the concepts they learn into practice immediately. In addition, participants will work closely with a personal success coach to guide them towards achieving their goals.

‘Now is the ideal time for HR executives to invest in their development that will position them to act as strategic business partners to their CEOs and implement people-centric organisational transformation. We are delighted to collaborate with CJBS Executive Education to help aspiring chief people officers accelerate their careers,’ said Mike Malefakis, President of University Partnerships at Emeritus.

The programme is priced at US$21,000, which includes all materials, teaching fees and access to online coursework. It commences in February 2023 and is open for enrolment through Emeritus.
