About Columbia Business School Executive Education Chief Investment Officer Program
The Chief Investment Officer Program from Columbia Business School Executive Education is an 18-week online program complemented by live online sessions, an in-person open-enrollment elective, and an optional two-day networking event on the Columbia Business School campus in New York City. The curriculum is organized around three pillars: investment strategy, asset allocation and portfolio management, and chief investment officer leadership.Â
Participants explore topics including investment decisions, portfolio construction, behavioral finance, risk management, governance frameworks, artificial intelligence, and machine learning in asset management, and strategic leadership. Learning is reinforced through faculty-led sessions, industry insights, case studies, and a team-based capstone project focused on developing an investment policy statement, portfolio implementation, and governance. Upon successful completion, participants receive the Certificate in Business Excellence from Columbia Business School Executive Education.
