Course Preview | Board Director Program from The Ross School of Business

Welcome to the Corporate Board Member Development Program, delivered in partnership between the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and Emeritus.

This program is designed for current and aspiring board members who want to strengthen their effectiveness in corporate governance and strategic leadership. The curriculum blends rigorous academic expertise with practical, real-world insights.

The program includes six comprehensive online modules, each combining self-paced learning with live virtual sessions that enable direct interaction with faculty, experts, and experienced board members. Participants gain insights into finance, strategy, digital transformation, sustainability, and ESG practices.

Following the online modules, participants attend a five-day in-person residency in Ann Arbor, engaging in discussions, case studies, and workshops while building connections with faculty, peers, and the Michigan Ross alumni network.

The program prepares participants to navigate complex board-level challenges and seize opportunities in modern corporate governance.
