UNIANDES focuses on the development of programs with high academic quality and emphasis on the Latin American reality. The Universidad de los Andes, in Colombia, is the only private university in the country whose accreditation has been renewed for the maximum possible period, ten years, by the Ministry of National Education. It has received international accreditations, such as the one awarded by the ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission, to eight undergraduate programs of the Faculty of Engineering in 2010. The Faculty of Administration obtained the Triple Crown in 2010, the highest award that a business school can achieve in the international context.
